goodbyes to South Dakota

After a few days of visiting and relaxing (aka: hemming and hawing) we had to get a move on.   Tearful goodbyes and cheerful blessings behind us we had the entire state of South Dakota to drive thru.  The wind was blowing snow across I90 and the temp was only 9 degrees.  It was slow going at times but we had all the great billboards that blanket this state to keep us company.

We had to choose which great american attractions we should stop at.  Reptile Gardens?  Petrified Forest? 1880 Town? Dances with Wolves? Murto Car Show?  How about Corn Palace!!!
Since we have both visited Wall Drug before, today was just a drive by
We pushed onto Sturgis.

Despite the lack of crowds and the cold chill we felt the presence of the "ghosts of bikers past"  we enjoyed a few mugs of beer for $1.75 each and we shared some more laughs.  Having a few miles left in the tank we kept driving to Sundance, WY to the Bear Lodge Motel
