I went to Juneau to do a small job for the AK Army National Guard. The weather was oh so nice. I also got to check out this helicopter.
After work we headed over to the Alaskan Brewing Company. Free samples and good times.

Then I took my coworker to meet up with my brother and family and we celebrated Ryan's birthday at the Island Pub which is down the street for Karl and Tory's place.

The next day I got up early and headed to Ketchikan. It was cold and raining. Got the job done with a little time to spare and explored Creek Street and the Totem Park. After a 17 hour day I finally made it home to my lovely Amanda.
The last 3 nights were predicted to have excellent Aurora activity and Friday was to be the best. However, we had a lot of clouds all day and our hopes were low. Well Amanda was driving back from Anchorage and called me to say "get in the truck and drive south of Wasilla to the hayflats" it was a magical night, enjoy the pictures.
This was Iditarod weekend. However, since we went last year we opted out of going this year. We had 4 moose in our yard all day on Sunday. On Saturday I picked up some ingredients for a clone of Long Trail Ale from Vermont. we'll see in a few weeks if it is as good as I remember it.
Can't brew beer without drinking beer.
