Granite State - Saturday

After a late night (3am) we awoke early to meet up with Kevin and Veronica for breakfast (9am).  These friends live in Connecticut and had been without power for a week, they had a wedding to attend Saturday night and with our busy schedule; we were fortunate to have found an hour to meet up.   We went to Kelly's Diner in Ball Square, Somerville.  This picture is hilarious because we asked the elderly lady waitress to take it for us and she could not "aim" the camera so we were all trying to stretch to make sure we got our faces into the frame...still cut off our heads though.
Then we left the city for a 2.5 hour drive to Lebanon, NH to meet my new nephew Everett and visit with the new parents Brian and Katy.  We did not expect to meet baby Rett when we booked this trip but he decided to show up early and it sure was the highlight and a blessing.  We got to visit for a few hours and even have lunch with Brian, Katy and her parents Cindy and Steve.
You have no idea the adventures we are going to have together little dude.
