Friday night after visiting with little Ryan and Tory's mother we headed over to the Alaska Distillery. Amanda has made friends with the owners since they frequent her bar. We had a bonfire did some grilling and sampling some awesome spirits. there were dogs, kids and 30 folks...and they invited us back. These are the wonderful people that have been waiting to meet.
Amanda finally bought a new computer and made the switch to a Mac. I am so proud of her.
With Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, Amanda made an wicked cool hat to celebrate and sling drinks. doesn't she look marvelous.
Snow in May!!! OMG!!! Jay headed to Hope to visit Brendan and his Austrailian friend Bec who has been living in Mexico for the last 2 years after opening her own restaurant. Can't wait to spend the summer with another great friend.
this is what the front seat of Brendan's truck looks like...rifle, camo and iced coffee (and maybe a beer)
the back seat has 3 chainsaws, climbing rope, bow and plenty of tools.
After bear hunting Saturday evening (until 11pm) and then Sunday morning we thought it was time to do some chores. We went a mile from Brendan's house to the Chugach National Forest where they have dropped some trees to clear some land and with a permit it is there for the taking.
new side rails (we built saturday) on the new truck. that is Jessie's parents dog Lakota behaving himself.
I love harvesting firewood. Such great memories on the Wuoti farm with my brothers and my dad. You guys and your help was missed today.
Oh yeah. earlier in the week I sat for another 4+ hours to get some more tattoo work. really was a great week.
